David Holland
David was educated at the local grammar school in Street, and trained with a London practice, where he divided his time between the City and Somerset.
He is a general practitioner but has always had an interest in specialist personal and trust tax work.
David is an ex county golfer who also enjoys tennis, cricket, gardening and music. He is the treasurer of Glastonbury Cricket Club and the St Mary’s Chapel and Almshouses in Glastonbury.
Alicia Hooper
After leaving college in 1986, Alicia trained in Bristol and Weston super Mare. After qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant, she joined Holland & Co in 2002. Managing a lot of the work in the office, she enjoys dealing with a broad spectrum of accounts, taxation and computer issues.
In her spare time Alicia enjoys swimming, visiting preserved railways, and trips to Dorset and East Devon with her family.
Sue Perry
Sue became an AAT member in 1999 and joined Holland & Co in 2005, having previously worked for a practice in Wells. Her main role is to supervise the preparation of accounts and tax returns for both limited companies and sole traders.
She has always lived in the Street/Glastonbury area and has two grown up daughters. Outside of the office, her interests include travelling and hill walking.
Jane Clark
Jane has over 20 years experience in accountancy practice,and has spent over 10 years at Holland & Co, being the longest serving member of staff. She has increased her knowledge over these years, becoming a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, and recently completing the qualifications to apply to become a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians,with a specialist knowledge in Inheritance Tax and Trusts.
Jane has an active family life, when not at work, enjoying the many aspects of Somerset living.
Pam Thomas
Pam has been with Holland & Co for 5 years. She has worked in payroll for over 30 years both for large and small companies doing both manual and computerised payrolls. She became a member of the Institute of British Payroll Managers in 1993.
When not at work Pam enjoys watching cricket, horse racing and most sports.
Lesley Chir
Lesley joined Holland & Co in 2008 when she qualified as a Certified Accountant. Her previous employment consisted of10 years in the manufacturing industry. Prior experience to this has been varied, ranging from small retail establishments to large global businesses.
Originally hailing from New Zealand she found a little bit of paradise in Somerset 24 years ago and settled to raise her 5 children. Life now centers around the family, gardening and rambling around Britain.
Penny Marks
Penny is relatively new to accountancy, having joined a practice in Devon in 2007. Returning to her roots in Somerset in 2008, she joined the team at Holland & Co. Her role here includes administrative duties, book keeping and accounts preparation.
Penny has a lively family life, with three grown up daughters and three young grandchildren, who focus largely in her life outside work.
Carol Kilburn
Carol has been with Holland & Co for almost 8 years and is usually your first point of contact. Her main duties are reception and secretarial duties for David and the office in general.
Originally hailing from Yorkshire, she has been living in rural tranquility in Somerset since the 1990’s.
Outside of work she is the treasurer of an amateur dramatic group and occasionally ends up on the stage! She also enjoys gardening and cooking.
Carolyn Dulborough
Carolyn has lived in Street for 30 years and has worked, on a part time basis, at Holland & Co for 4 years doing general office duties. She has previously worked in the legal, banking and customer services profession.
Her hobbies are cycling, listening to music and spending time with her family.
